Time to reopen!
I was so happy to finally reopen my studio on the 12th April after several months of Covid lockdown! It was so nice to be able to reopen my doors to some beautiful families and some cute newborns again.
Below are just a handful of some of my favourite photos from the last few weeks. It has been a super busy time but its amazing to back behind my camera again!
I have had the pleasure of capturing some amazing expectant Mums for some wonderful Maternity sessions. I always advise planning these at around 34 weeks so Mums still feel comfortable enough in those beautiful poses and bump is a nice size to photograph.
Lots of Newborn sessions, which are best captured between 4-14 days old so babies feel most comfortable curling into those cute sleepy poses. Older Newborns are still lovely, I have wrapped babies even at 15 weeks old!
Some super cute Sitter sessions which are at their best age of between 6-10 months when baby is sitting unaided. Perfect age to capture their little character.
Plus some super fun Cake smash sessions- a perfect way to enjoy 1st birthday celebrations. There are lots of ways to celebrate... a fruit smash session, a painting session. Or no messy part and just have a beautiful family portrait session!
All stages of your baby’s development are fascinating to photograph though I have to say that the 6–10-month age producing the best images. This type of baby photography is known as ‘sitter photography’ as it is the stage when babies first sit up.

Is there a perfect time or age for child portrait photography? In truth no but there are significant milestones in your child’s young life that you may want to capture with beautiful timeless images.
